In 2022, lithium-ion batteries accounted for the largest share of China's battery exports, at 88.1%. They were followed by lead-acid batteries, alkaline manganese batteries, and zinc-manganese batteries. Other battery types, such as lithium primary batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries, and nickel-cadmium batteries, had relatively smaller export shares.
